Greenway Farm follows North Chickamauga Creek through Hixson on a crushed-rock and asphalt spine, with grass and dirt branches running off it. The main loop is two miles with 72 feet of climbing, which makes it the flattest run in this guide and the one that holds up best when everything else is wet.

The Boy Scout Trail adds a 1.25-mile loop and is closed to bikes, unlike the main greenway. It runs through TVA's Big Ridge Small Wild Area, which protects the federally threatened large-flowered skullcap, so stay on the tread.

There is a fenced off-leash dog park here, which is unusual for a trail this close to running water. Dogs need a leash everywhere else in the park.

Two entrances, one off Hamill Road and one off Gann Store Road, and free parking at both.

Know before you go

Bikes use the main greenway. The watershed flash floods. Not to be confused with North Chickamauga Creek Gorge upstream, where the Blue Hole and the main trailhead are closed for construction until around spring 2027.
